Dependents who accompany their sailors to the Gaeta area may choose between Tricare Remote and Tricare Prime. If you choose Tricare Remote, you will see local Italian doctors and dentists in the area. If you choose Tricare Prime (which most of us do) you will go to the Naval Hospital at Support Site for your primary care and dental.
The Department of Defense recently announced that services would be reduced at American military medical facilities throughout Italy, however we have yet to know specifically what these changes will be.
